This morning Bardney Group Parish Council welcomed The Queen's Representative, the Lord Lieutenant for Lincolnshire, Mr Toby Dennis to plant two trees as part of the Queen's Green Canopy initiative.

This morning Bardney Group Parish Council welcomed The Queen's Representative, the Lord Lieutenant for Lincolnshire, Mr Toby Dennis. The purpose of his visit, was to plant two of the three trees which will form part of the Queen's Green Canopy in our area to mark the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

The planting in Bardney was witnessed by children from Bardney Primary School as well as representatives of various organisations and religious groups.

The Lord Lieutenant then moved on to Stainfield to plant the Queen's tree in the car park of Stainfield and Apley Village Hall.

Today forms part of a series of events which will take place over the coming year and involve all the communities and villages.
