Recording of Meetings
Under the Openness of Local Government Bodies Regulations 2014, members of the public may now film, photograph and make audio recordings of the proceedings of the formal Council meeting, though not, under current legislation, of the Public Participation session, as this is not part of the formal agenda of the meeting. Recording activity should be respectful to the conduct of the meeting and behaviour that disrupts the meeting (such as oral commentary) will not be permitted.
Agenda
1. Fire Safety Announcement
The Chairman will give a fire safety announcement.
2. Election of Chairman
Members are asked to elect a Chairman of the Finance and Policy and Resources Committee for the ensuing municipal year.
3. Election of Vice-Chairman
Members are asked to elect a Vice-Chairman of the Finance and Policy and resources Committee for the ensuing municipal year.
4. Apologies for Absence
Members are asked to receive apologies of absence for this meeting.
5. Declarations of Interest.
To receive declarations of interest under consideration on this agenda in accordance with the Localism Act 2011 s32 and The Relevant Authorities (Disclosable Pecuniary Interests) Regulations 2012.
Members are reminded that should you declare a pecuniary interest at a meeting; it is your responsibility to inform the Monitoring Officer.
6. Public Question Time and Participation
Members of the public are advised that they are welcome to ask questions about items on the agenda. It is not always possible to give a verbal response at the meeting and questions may receive a written reply. No resolution can be made under this item.
Questions should relate to matters of Parish Council policy or practice and not relate to the individual affairs of either the questioner or any other named person.
7. Chairman’s Announcements
The Chairman will welcome members to the meeting and give any announcements matters on the agenda.
8. Minutes
Members are asked to confirm the minutes of the Finance Committee held on Tuesday 14th January 2025.

9. Finance for the Play Park
Members are asked to receive an update from Councillor Laughton about the finance offered towards the refurbishment of the Play Park following legal advice obtained and to consider the most effective way to donate funds, noting that in principle the Council agreed to £17k being donated in some form.
10. Laptop
Members will remember that at the last Parish Council meeting it was agreed that up to £500 could be spent on a laptop. The Assistant Clerk will update Members at the meeting and are asked to note that software will also need to be purchased.
11. Banking
Members are asked to consider and note the following:
- That the Assistant Clerk has been waiting since May to be added to the signatures on the bank account despite the papers online being completed at the beginning of her work as Locum. This is nothing unusual, but the Assistant Clerk will chase.
- That the Council has five bank signatures at the current time and are asked to consider whether they would like anymore.
- That the Assistant Clerk set up a rota for signatures for the bank account thus meaning that Councillors are not always signing the accounts/signing at the same time
12. Budget
Members are asked to consider whether they have any projects or spend that they would like included in the 2026/2027 budget.
The budget discussion will be presented to Council at the November meeting.
