26-28PR Staffing Matters:

  1. Clerk/RFO: the job application closing date has been put back to 18 March. The position has been advertised on LALC website, and sought clarification from Cllr Fleetwood as to other places the advert has been place.
  2. Handyman: discussion took place as to whether the handyman position should be advertised as a salaried position as previously (in line with the Health and Safety policy), or whether the Council look at employing contractors to do the work. Consideration was further given to whether or not volunteers could cut the grass in certain areas, and whether they would be covered by the Council’s insurance whilst doing so. This information would be sought. However, at the end of the discussion, it was agreed that the Committee would put forward their recommendation that the Council would keep a salaried handyman.
