DRAFT Minutes from the Personnel and Review Committee Meeting

Meeting commenced at 7pm 

 

The Vice-Chair welcomed everyone to the meeting. 

The public forum was invited to commence:

A summary of matters raised by members of the public and responses are listed below:

 

  1.  Concern was raised regarding 211-23/24 on the agenda. Comment was made regards any decisions made should be made at Full Council Meeting not on a P and R committee meeting. Member of the public was reassured that no decision would be made at this meeting and any recommendations discussed in the closed meeting would be brought for approval to the Full Council Meeting.  Clerk reassured the items discussed in closed session will always go to the Full Council.

 

202-23/24        Apologies for absence

To receive and accept apologies where valid reasons for absence have been given to the Clerk prior to the meeting in accordance with Local Gov. Act 1972, Sch 12, para 40.  No apologies received.

 

203-23/24        Declarations of interest

There were no declarations of interest recorded for the meeting. To receive any declarations of interest under the Localism Act 2011 being in pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members Register of Interest and any written request for dispensation.

 

204-23/24        New Chair – Cllr Wright proposed Cllr Lane as the new Chair, this was seconded by Cllr Hutchinson      and approved.

 

205-23/24        Vice Chair – Cllr Hutchinson indicated he would like to stay as Vice Chair, this was proposed by Cllr Lane seconded by Cllr Wright, approved.

 

206-23/24        Meeting held on 24th August 2023 and authorise the chair to sign the official minutes. This was approved and signed by the Chair. If notice needs to be given 2 month’s notice is required.

 

207-23/24        Chair – Nothing to report.

 

208-23/24        Clerk  - Nothing to report.

 

209-23/24        To resolve to move into a closed sessions in accordance with public bodies (admission to meetings) Act 1960 due to the confidential nature of the business to be discussed in relation to the following matters
