Bardney Group Parish Council
Minutes of a meeting of the Personnel and Review Committee of Bardney Group Parish Council held at Bardney Pavilion on Thursday 25 April 2024 at 6:00pm.
Present: Chair: Ruth Lane
Councillors: Robin Darby, Ken Hutchinson and Sam Wright
0 members of the public were in attendance.
The Chair declared the meeting open at 6:01 pm.
379-23/24. To receive apologies for absence and reasons given, i.a.w. Local Government Act 1972, Sch 12, para 40.
All Cllrs were present.
380-23/24. To receive declarations of interest and to consider dispensation applications in relation to Disclosable Pecuniary Interests.
None declared at this time.
381-23/24. Consider and approve as Minutes, the following notes;
a. Notes of the Committee meeting held on Wednesday 6 March 2024 to be approved as Minutes.
Action: The Council RESOLVED to approve the notes of the P and R Committee meeting of the Bardney Group Parish Council held on Wednesday 6 March 2024 as Minutes.
Proposed by Cllr Lane, seconded by Cllr Hutchinson and approved unanimously.
382-23/24. To resolve to go into closed session in accordance with the Public Bodies (Admissions to Meetings) Act 1960, as amended by Section 100 of the Local Government Act 1972 to discuss the following matters.
a. Consider the applications received for the advertised post of Clerk/RFO and sift for interview.
b. Consider a date for interviews to be undertaken and who would carry them out.
Action: The Committee RESOLVED to go into Closed Session.
Proposed by Cllr Darby, seconded by Cllr Lane and approved unanimously.
This part of the meeting closed 8:24 pm.
The meeting continued in the absence of press and public at 6:05pm.
Confidential Minutes
a. Consider the applications received for the advertised post of Clerk/RFO and sift for interview.
Four applications had been received. The merits of all the applicants were thoroughly discussed, weighing up the pros and cons of each person.
Action: The Committee RESOLVED to interview two of the four applicants, being Sharon Page and Eddie Findlay.
Proposed by Cllr Wright, seconded by Cllr Hutchinson and approved unanimously.
b. Consider a date for interviews to be undertaken and who would carry them out.
Action: The Committee RESOLVED to hold the interviews on Thursday 9 May 2024, with Sharon Page attending at 2:00pm and Eddie Findlay at 3:30pm, with the panel being Ruth Lane, Ken Hutchinson and Keith Laughton.
Proposed by Cllr Lane, seconded by Cllr Wright and approved unanimously.
